| The Fabrication Process |
|
| Fabrication is the process your slabs go through to become the finished products installed in your home.
Once your counters are templated, we purchase your slab(s) and get them ready to be cut. We use a diamond studded saw blade for cutting the slabs into precise sizes.
Your templates are laid on the slabs, marked out and cut using a bridge saw for total control of each cut. The blade tilts on angles and the table spins
360 degrees allowing us to produce a better finished product. Once the bridge saw cuts have been made we cut any intricate shapes or designs by hand with a
grinder and a cutoff blade. With the correct shape established we can fabricate the edge profile. |

| All profiled edges are cut with a diamond router bit or hand grinded depending on the chosen profile.
Even routed edges are touched up with the grinder which is the key to a high quality finished product. The grinder evens everything out while getting
rid of fissures and cracks created by the cutting process. With everything smoothed out, the edges are wet sanded with diamond sanding pads from rough
to fine until the edges match the polish of the top. With the edges complete, we cut out the sink hole and grind an eased edge profile. We polish the edge
with the sanding pads so the sink edge matches the polish of the other edges. When the sink hole is polished, we finish the grinding/polishing by giving
the top and sides of the backsplash the same high polish as the rest of the edges. Once the cut outs and edging are complete, a final inspection of each
piece is made to ensure installation readiness. The pieces are then loaded on a steel a-frame for delivery and begin their journey to their new home. |
