Here are some tips to ensure a successful installation.
Prior to Installation:
1. We will need everything
off your counters and out from under your sink. If you can't get to it, we will assume we have your permission to move things for you.
2. You may
want to remove things from lower cabinets or drawers. We make every effort to keep your space clean, but dust will
be created.
3. Use your sink if you need to. Once we start, your sink will be out of order until the next morning. There will be a seal between
the stone and your sink needing time to fully cure.
During Installation:
1. You won't need to be around until the end of the
installation when we'll verify the location of faucet holes.
2. Your kitchen will be transformed into a work site with loud noises and strong
odors. Anyone sensitive to either will want to be somewhere else. Again, we will make every effort to keep your space clean but some dust and debris
will be created.
3. The best time to inspect the job to ensure satisfaction is when all work is completed. This includes cleaning and sealing of
all stone.
Post Installation:
1. You will need to leave everything off your counters for four hours after installation is complete to
allow the sealer to dry completely.
2. You can reconnect your plumbing and use your sink normally the next morning.
3. You might experience
some fogging on the stone. This is natural and will go away completely in four to six weeks.
4. We recommend sealing your stone every six months
to a year depending on use. We recommend purchasing a high quality sealer from one of our stone suppliers to ensure maximum durability of your new
stone.
